In my opinion, the unknown and the natural fear of the unknown is the basis of all religions. People try to explain, demonstrate, depict according to their imaginative power to convince their fellow sufferers with some solution for the unknown and the people looking for a solace grab it at the first opportunity and contribute to it in their own way and pass on.. and in the end snowballing into a religion. As long as there is this unknown element of time and universe, it is no use trying to put logic into religion. The best attempt to resolve the issue of the unknown that still continues is by science, but that also seems to be doomed since as soon as answers are found more and more questions pop up. Since the Grand Theory is still at large and no hope of the Unknown to be cracked in any near future, I think it will be a futile exercise to fight religious belief with logical reasoning.
